Hardware baseline: EPYC 9005, DDR5 ECC, NVMe
A quick spec teaser — because numbers are sometimes the most honest language.
Target baseline (own hardware from Q2 2026):
- CPU: AMD EPYC 9005 • 64 cores
- RAM: 128 GB DDR5 ECC
- Storage: NVMe up to ~10,000 MB/s
Why this direction?
- ECC for stability (no silent bit flips as a “feature”).
- NVMe speed so I/O doesn’t become the bottleneck.
- Own hardware so performance doesn’t disappear behind overcommit/overselling practices.
Note: Current workloads already run on rented infrastructure. These specs describe the target system (“The Beast”) planned for Q2 2026.
